A large crowd attended the Menorah lighting of the fifth Chanukah candle in front of the iconic Eiffel Tower in Paris, France, organized by Shliach Rabbi Mendel Azimov.
The 36th annual Chanukah Live was broadcast live together with lightings at the Kotel in Jerusalem and 770 Eastern Parkway, as well as a surprise broadcast from an IDF base in Gaza.
Speakers included: Mr. Michel Guggenheim, Chief Rabbi of Paris, Mr. Elie Korchia, president of the Central Consistory, Mr. Gil Taieb, vice president of CRIF, and the new Ambassador of Israel to France M. Zarka.
Music was played by the Orchestra of Yossef Brami, accompanied by singer Shamil.
All the speakers expressed their solidarity with the hostages, the victims of terror attacks, and the Israeli soldiers who are fighting against Hamas, and spoke of hope of seeing the light triumph over darkness.

Just came back from France , it was shocking to find out that antisemitic acts are up a 1000% , to find that France has a President who is antisemitic , let’s not talk of the leader of the first political party in France Jean Luc Melanchon who is an hardcore antisemitic but even worse it’s the total denial from French Jews about the all situation just like in the late 1930s nothing was learned
