A large crowd attended the Menorah lighting in front of the iconic Eiffel Tower in Paris, France, organized by Shliach Rabbi Mendel Azimov.
The 35th annual Chanukah Live was broadcast live together with lightings at the Kotel in Jerusalem and 770 Eastern Parkway.
Speakers included: Transport, Clément Baune, representing the government, Mr. Joël Mergui, President of the Consistory of Paris, Mr. Michel Guggenheim, Chief Rabbi of Paris, Mr. Elie Korchia, president of the Central Consistory, Mr. Gil Taieb, vice president of CRIF, Mr. Meyer Habib, deputy for French people abroad, and Imam Chalgoumi.
Ms. Rachida Dati, mayor of the district, apologized and was represented by her deputy.
Music was played by the Orchestra of Yossef Brami, accompanied by singer L. Djian.
All the speakers expressed their solidarity with the hostages, the victims of terror attacks, and the Israeli soldiers who are fighting against Hamas, and spoke of hope of seeing the light triumph over darkness.
