A 25-year-old Jewish man was killed in a shooting Wednesday in Southeast D.C., according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
The incident happened in the 5100 block of Call Place in Washington, where Aryeh Wolf was installing solar panels on a building.
At approximately 3:40 p.m., officers responded to the location and found Wolf, 25, of Baltimore, suffering from a gunshot wound.
Wolf was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.
A friend representing the family of Aryeh Wolf released the following statement:
“The entire Jewish community is grieving over this tragic event. Aryeh was known to be a loving family man who was well-liked throughout the community.”
He is survived by his wife Mindy Wolf, and their six-month-old daughter, and his parents, Asher and Elise Wolf of Berkeley Avenue, siblings, and extended family.
The Metropolitan Police Department is currently offering a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the killing.

The funeral will be held on Thursday 4 PM at Sol Levinson and Bros. Funeral Home – 8900 Reisterstown Road in Pikesville, Maryland.
