The Jewish Children’s Museum, the landmark institution in Crown Heights, will celebrate its 17th annual Gala Dinner on Tuesday, May 17.
The Guest of Honor at the event will be Hon. Eric Adams, the Mayor of New York City, who will receive the leadership award, presented by Devorah Halberstam, co-founder of the Jewish Children’s Museum and a longtime friend of the Mayor.
Other guests include Hon. Loretta Preska – Chief Judge, U.S. District Court, who will receive the Ari Halberstam Memorial Award, Joseph Sprung & Diane Lempert of Beargivers, who will receive the Lamplighters Award, and Alana Newhouse – Tablet Magazine, who will receive the ambassador of hope award. Gala Chairs are Joseph and Penina Popack.
The annual gala welcomes community leaders, elected officials and Museum supporters for an evening in support of the museum which welcomes thousands of visitors throughout the year, teaching people of all ages, backgrounds and faiths about the Jewish culture and heritage.
The event will begin at 5:30 pm and will take place at the Museum, 792 Eastern Pkwy, Brooklyn, NY 11213.
