A Father’s Testimony: The Transformation of Tzvi Glick
Rabbi Yossi Glick, the proud father of a JETS graduate, Hatamim Tzvi Glick, speaks about his son’s journey with JETS Yeshiva. “My son, Tzvi, was attending a yeshiva where he felt unfulfilled. He had so much potential and passion, but it felt as if there was a block preventing him from reaching his full capabilities,” Rabbi Yossi reflects. “I was initially hesitant about the idea of him joining JETS due to certain stigmas associated with it. However, after Tzvi’s first year there, not only did my concerns prove unfounded, but I saw him flourish in ways I hadn’t imagined.”
Tzvi not only excelled academically, but he also experienced significant spiritual growth. He had the privilege of reading a letter from the Rebbe at the graduation ceremony, celebrating the achievements of JETS students. Beyond academics, Tzvi’s musical talents shone as he played guitar in the JETS student band, adding to the vibrant culture of the school.
Reflecting on his son’s words, Rabbi Yossi shares, “Tzvi often says that at JETS, you experience growth surpassing that of a regular yeshiva, yet it feels like you’re in camp all year round.” He encourages other parents: “If you have doubts, come and witness the transformative environment at JETS for yourself. The devoted staff are committed to nurturing each student’s soul and mind, helping them realize their fullest potential.”

JETS Yeshiva, which combines a stellar yeshiva education and Smicha program with real-world skills, was founded in Los Angeles nearly 20 years ago with the mission of changing lives, changing education, and teaching young men to love themselves and their community.
Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, JETS seeks to find the spark within each student. Beyond Judaic studies and academic knowledge, JETS students receive practical, hands-on experience and valuable networking opportunities.
JETS does more than simply teach students facts and figures. JETS also teaches them self-love and inspires an attitude to cultivate a successful life. The Yeshiva is committed to setting these young men up for both personal and professional success, celebrating their Jewish heritage throughout.
Says Rabbi Mayer Schmukler, JETS founder: “The school is a transformative power in the lives of young people. It is clear that the lessons and values that JETS develop in these young men leave a lasting impression. The JETS mission continues not just during their time at school or for the short time after they graduate. The JETS mission continues for a lifetime.”
Inspired by the Rebbe’s vision of balancing Torah study with vocational training, JETS offers an innovative curriculum that fosters both spiritual and practical skills. Whether it’s a course in real estate management or studying for smicha, students at JETS find a well-rounded educational experience tailored to their individual needs and talents.
Beyond the Classroom: Mentorship and Networking
JETS goes beyond conventional yeshiva education by offering a robust mentorship program that pairs students with successful professionals in various fields. These mentorship opportunities often evolve into long-term relationships that lead to job placements and career advancements.
A Lasting Impact
JETS is no longer just a fallback option; it’s a first-choice destination for holistic Jewish education. Students not only leave with a strong foundation in Torah and vocational skills but also with a lifelong love for Yiddishkeit and Chassidishkeit. “Our students go on to become pillars of their communities, contributing both spiritually and practically,” says Rabbi Mayer Schmukler, founder and director of JETS.
In a world where youth often question traditional pathways, JETS offers a balanced, holistic approach to education that respects individuality while fostering communal responsibility. If you’re a parent seeking an enriching educational experience for your child, it may be time to set aside old perceptions and discover the new JETS Yeshiva.
