May 5, 2009 3:20 am

As a member of the Montreal community I like to take the liberty to provide you with what goes on behind the scenes. A staff member at YTTL came over to me to say Jacobson is coming to farbrenge, I have no kids in the Yeshiva currently but he thought about me to keep me involved. In return I offer to help, from what I hear. one member of the community help to bring Jacobson in to speak while another member of our illustrious community sponsor the bagels another sponsored the alcohol believe it or not yet another sponsored the… Read more »

It is amazing to see the alcohol is under control!
this might be due to the recession nevertheless… impressive

Tough times!
May 5, 2009 2:00 am

In today’s volatile world! financially and spiritually..
let’s not make any illusions Yeshiva teachers are underpaid if paid at all. yet here is a dedicated bunch.

Rabbi Weger
May 5, 2009 1:55 am

For those who don’t know much about TTL – Montreal
here’s the deal! Rabbi Weger is the most dedicated hard-working hanhalah member one can ever find..
YES, he’s hard on the boys he wants them to be good and to come in time…
but he is understanding, involved and extremely caring.
That’s the language the bochurim appreciate!

LOVE LOVE LOVE….

Former student!
May 5, 2009 1:50 am

I was a student in Yeshiva several years ago….
I still have contact with Rabbi Kaplan till today…
No I’m not a wealthy businessman! nevertheless he makes me feel comfortable to call him from time to time to discuss my personal issues…
How many boys in today’s Yeshiva’s have someone they can call years after they leave.

yeh R. Kaplan should help out the elementary YTTL nexdoor

he had lots of hatzlacha, despite all the prevailing excuses!

HIS leadership can set a good example for the school next door not to CH”V close down,

lets hope that the elementary YTTL rather than collapsing, learns from R. Kaplan How to be matzliach

Beautiful article and all the positiv comments!
May 4, 2009 6:04 pm

Thank you for posting a positiv article with only positiv commends. Lets try to leave out article/ comments that are negative and only bring Sinas chinum.

I was in that yeshiva for two years. It was great. You don’t often find Yeshiva staff as dedicated as Rabbi Wenger and as caring as Rabbi Kaplan. One of the top Lubavitch Yeshivas that really gets it.

As a young man who sat through many of Rabbi Jacobson’s Farbraingens your words summed up exactly what I felt, I always left feeling inspired. I would just cation you; Rabbi Jacobson can provide the fire but you have to keep the flame burning on a day to day basis.

Good luck and thank you for the report.

It was powerful
May 4, 2009 9:54 am

The farbrengen went for like 7-8 hours, from 11pm till close to 7am. It was amazing. The singing was also beautiful. Rabbi Jacobson spoke of how special the bachurim are, and how they can empower themselves to become extraordinary individuals. He discussed the fact that sometims the hanhalah and the boys do not see eye to eye, not because the hanhalah is bad but because the bachurim came of age after 1991, when a new Moshiach energy came in to the world, and the hanhalah is still looking at the world from a galus-paradigm. And yet the Rebbe wants the… Read more »
