Jacobson Expands Yeshiva Net

TheYeshiva.net has recruited an all-star staff for its upcoming 6 week semester starting Sunday.

Featuring prolific and popular teachers from all over the world, from Brooklyn to Jerusalem, from Johannesburg to Miami, people can now learn ongoing Torah courses, with full curriculums, on Gemarah, Halacha, Tanach, Chassidus and other subjects.

Rabbi Levy Wineberg, the Rosh Yeshiva of the Pretoria Machon Lhoraah, and Rosh Kollel of the Mizrachi Kollel of Johannesburg, will be teaching Sunday morning 10:00 AM EST the ever-relevant laws of borer, selecting, on Shabbos. Rabbi Wineberg is unique in his method of exploring the symmetry between the most technical halacha with its mystical meaning.

Rabbi Shmuel Braun of Jerusalem will be teaching on Wednesday evenings 8:30 PM EST a groundbreaking class on Samach Vav for Beginners. Using selected texts as a base, this 6 week series will be, in Rabbi Braun’s words, “an express flight to the depths of Chassidus.” Samach vav, the series taught by the Rebbe Rashab in 1906, is famous as being the great cornerstone of Chabad Chassidus.

Rabbi Efraim Piekarski, a noted Dayan in Crown Heights, will continue teaching Sunday evenings 8:30 advanced Gemara Pesachim with Tosfos. Rabbi Piekarski is the first to author a translation and elucidation of Tosfos in English.

Rabbi Chaim Itche Drizin, MA LMFT, a licensed marriage and family therapist from Florida will be dealing with the extremely sensitive yet relevant theme of child abuse: how to deal with an abusive childhood, how to identify and deal with abusers, and how to protect your child. Beginning on Thursday, he will present a six week series on Child Abuse In Our Communities.

TheYeshiva.net Dean Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak Jacobson, will start this Monday evening a new series on the Book of Rus.
