This is your cup of tea!
And we invite you to share it with every Jewish woman in your community. Because it is her cup of tea too.
With deep gratitude to Hashem, the Rosh Chodesh Society, women’s division of the Rohr Jewish Learning Institute (JLI), announces Torah & Tea 5785—the third program since its launch during Sh’nas Hakhel.
It all started with one Torah idea, shared meaningfully with a group of women over mugs filled with hot tea—sparking a flowing, endless ripple effect, transforming hearts, homes, and lives.
Inspired by Rashi Minkowitz, a”h, the beloved Shlucha of Alpharetta, Georgia, her Torah & Tea gatherings were the essence of what this program has become. Her life and vision, a testament to the idea that one thoughtful act—one shared Torah insight—can light up the world, continues today through this program, as women around the globe gather to carry her legacy forward.
Picture a group of women sitting around a cozy table, engaging with ideas that are relevant, inspiring, and deeply rooted in Jewish thought. The content is rich and thought-provoking. Each gathering is an opportunity to inspire and be inspired. The lessons ignite questions, foster discussion, and leave every participant with something they can carry into their week, their home, and their lives.
This is what the Rosh Chodesh Society’s Torah & Tea program is—a simple yet transformative way to bring Jewish women together, nurture meaningful connections, and infuse everyday moments with the beauty of Torah, providing everything you need to make this possible.
What truly makes Torah & Tea so unique is its user-friendly design. Whether hosting a one-on-one learning session, a small group in your living room, running a Mommy-and-Me, Lunch-and-Learn, or leading a larger gathering, Torah & Tea fits perfectly into any setting.
The program’s flexibility allows you to create an experience that works for your community. Teach it as a short, 20-minute class, or dive deeper with discussion and additional material for longer sessions. Whichever way you prefer your cup of tea, you can bask in the knowledge that your kettle’s brew will be infused with the fiery warmth and personal relevance of Torah and Chassidus—its message permanently etched in the hearts and minds of all who’ve tasted it.
Torah & Tea 5785 focuses on the call of the hour: Redemption!
It features three Torah & Tea mini-courses, each consisting of eight new, ready-to-share, intriguing short lessons (a total of twenty-four classes) for your Torah & Tea gatherings.
Series I—Redeeming a World: Clarifying the Messianic Future and Its Present Relevance [based on Inyonei Moshiach]
Series II—Redeeming a Deed: Unlocking Profundity and Inspiration from Specific Mitzvot [based on the Mivtzoyim]
Series III—Redeeming an Emotion: Converting Negativity to Empowerment via Jewish Mysticism [based on the Tanya]
We welcome you to join the over 300 communities worldwide who are boiling, brewing, steeping, pouring and serving countless cups of tea, each infused with the unparalleled flavor of Torah.
They say life is like a cup of tea; it’s all in how you make it. Make it right! Make it your cup of tea. Make it Torah & Tea.
To each and every one of the Rebbe’s shluchos worldwide, thank you for your incredible dedication in disseminating Torah and Chasidus in the most beautiful way. You will certainly be the catalyst for the ultimate redemption, the Geulah ho’Amiti v’ha’Shleima.
May your cup runneth over with Torah & Tea, and berachos ad bli dai—now and forever!
