This week, the Biden Administration announced Israel’s entry into the Visa Waiver Program (VWP). Through this updated designation, citizens and nationals of Israel will be able to apply to travel to the United States for tourism or business purposes up to 90 days in advance without first obtaining a U.S. visa beginning November 30th, 2023.
“This action will not only benefit the security of both the United States and our allies in Israel, but open a new era of economic prosperity and commerce between our two nations,” said Congresswoman Yvette Clarke.
Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu celebrated the development, noting that it “will save considerable time, bother and money for all Israeli citizens. Whoever wants to visit the US will no longer need to wait months to receive an appointment.”
Netanyahu added: “We have been working on this for years, almost a decade, especially over the past year during which we passed extensive legislation that made possible the legal basis for this action.
“Only around 40 countries have visa exemptions and now Israel has joined the list. This decision is additional testimony to the strong ties between Israel and the US.”

This just means there’s going to be more Israelis in crown heights
and that isn’t good?
I’m not sure if that’s the best idea.
For the Israelis-Good.
Who’s going to make trouble?
But, for the Palestinians……..????
Please fill me in on that one.
As Jonathan Pollard points out, this is not great news for Israel. Israel has agreed to reciprocate and allow all Palestinian Americans into Israel. It’s a recipe for disaster.
he betrayed his country and increased antisemitism as a result.
This is fantastic news.
now our fellow brothers and sisters don’t need to go though the hassle of getting a visa to visit the Rebbe’s neighbourhood and the Ohel.
Very bad for israeli security
