A full crowd is expected at the annual Chabad Partners Conference that takes place each year in conjunction with the International Kinus Hashluchim in Brooklyn, New York.
The single-day conference on Sunday, November 24, 2019, gathers philanthropists, community leaders and key members of Chabad-Lubavitch institutions worldwide.
It will be held at the Jewish Children’s Museum and the Razag Ballroom in Crown Heights and will include classes, lectures and discussions about the current state of the global Jewish community and Judaism.
Organizers call it “a gathering of friends, supporters, lay leaders and advocates of Chabad Centers around the world. The conference will offer support, camaraderie, inspiration and practical tips on furthering Chabad’s mission in every city.”
Israel’s Minister of Education, Rabbi Rafi Peretz will be the special guest at the luncheon of the conference, COLlive.com has learned.
Peretz is a former military officer who served as the Chief Military Rabbi of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). He is currently the leader of the Jewish Home party and a member of the Knesset for the Jewish Home–Tkuma Zionist religious alliance.
Delegates of the conference will have the opportunity to view the iconic Shluchim Group Photo in front of 770 from a reserved viewing grandstand.
The remarkable rebirth of Jewish life in Germany in the post Holocaust era will be explored by one of the leaders of the German Jewish community, Shliach and Berlin’s Chief Rabbi Yehuda Teichtal.
The conference will take a deep dive into the Rebbe’s unique attitude towards finding positivity in life with Rabbi Mendel Kalmenson, author of “The Positively Bias”. In addition, there will be a book signing.
Conference delegates will be divided into interactive sessions where they will share the experiences and challenges of their communities. Each group will be facilitated by a Shliach, Rabbi Moshe Kahn of Melbourne, Australia, Rabbi Berel Levetov of S. Fe, New Mexico and Rabbi Shimon Freundlich of Beijing, China.
The plenary session of the Conference will feature a conversation on the genesis of Shlichus, between three veteran Shluchim, Rabbi Moshe Lazar of Milan-Italy, Rabbi Shmuel Lew of London, England, and Rabbi Shalom Ber Lipskar of Bal Harbor, Florida. The conversation will be led by Rabbi Dovid Eliezrie of Yorba Linda, California.
“This is a diverse and exciting program, your Bala Batim will be deeply inspired, do not miss this unique opportunity,” said Rabbi Lipa Brennan, who co-chairs the conference.
The conference will conclude at the Gala Banquet of the Kinus Hashluchim which will take place at the New Jersey Expo Center in Edison, NJ.
