Israeli Ambassador to Australia Amir Maimon,, affixed the Mezuza to the office of Nitzutz, a new community organization in Sydney dedicated to fostering learning, growth, and education.
During the event, the Ambassador was presented with a dollar from the Rebbe and a book titled “Peace”, which explores the Rebbe’s views on security and the State of Israel. These meaningful items were shared by President Mark Sheldon and Rabbi Mendy Berger. The Ambassador was deeply moved to receive the dollar, understanding its profound connection to the Rebbe’s vision of peace, leadership, and community.
“Nitzutz is a spark of hope for our community, drawing on timeless values to inspire learning, growth, and meaningful education,” said Rabbi Berger. “It was an honor to celebrate this moment with the Ambassador and share these significant elements of the Rebbe’s vision.”
Nitzutz is set to provide innovative programs and opportunities that will have a lasting impact across the Jewish and broader community, becoming a cornerstone of engagement and education in Sydney.
