Life is expensive. But life is also free. It costs nothing to be born. It costs nothing to breathe, to walk, to love, to talk, to think, to feel.
In a perfect world, Torah should be free. And, in many perfect worlds, it is. Many Jews can access Torah in its eternal form—which is Chayenu, Our Life—without paying a single dime.
(Indeed, that is why the Torah was given at Sinai, in no-man’s land, so that no person could claim ownership and charge royalties.)
But what about those who require translation? What about those who cannot or will not access the infinite oceans of Hashem’s wisdom on their own? What about those who are overwhelmed by the ocean and require daily and weekly easy-to-use solutions to digest Our Life?

Our Life is free. But it requires significant resources to package and market Our Life to everyone everywhere.
