It is no secret that many of the talented young couples who teach our children do not view teaching as their long-term Shlichus. Many young men and women take up a position in Chinuch as a meaningful, short-term occupation, until they find their own place of Shlichus to move out to. This, combined with the fact that the teaching profession is typically not a high earning profession, makes it very challenging for our schools to retain our quality young teachers.
But we can do something about it.
And we are trying to do something about it.
Gan Academy is a school that takes great pride in our talented and devoted staff. Our teachers see their role in Chinuch as their own personal Shlichus, and our children feel it, absorb it, and love it. Just like community members of Chabad houses around the world feel a warmth and love towards Yiddishkeit, because of the kindness, individual attention, and nonjudgmental approach of their local Shliach. So too, our teachers go beyond their call of duty to impart a love for Yiddishkeit to our children in a personal, warm, and non-judgmental manner.
In addition to providing high quality academics, our staff at Gan Academy also place special emphasis on the social-emotional needs of every child. Our parents believe that Gan Academy gives their children tools for healthy communication, emotional awareness, and healthy self-esteem. Each child feels cared for and nurtured, rather than resentful and anxious. Our children look forward to school each day, as is visible every morning when they skip and hop into school with smiles on their faces and positivity in the air. We are raising our kids to be the happy, frum and knowledgeable adults we know they will become.
The leadership of Gan Academy is taking big steps to invest in our dedicated staff. Our staff are not only tremendous role models to our children, but also the very heart and soul of our school. We recognize and deeply appreciate the way our teachers invest every fiber of their being into the education and wellbeing of our precious children.
