Chief Rabbi of Iran Yehuda Gerami has returned to the United States, following his high-profile visit exactly a year ago. The visit is being coordinated by Merkos Suite 302.
Rabbi Gerami is once again attending the International Kinus Hashluchim that is currently taking place in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn.
He took the opportunity to visit the Rebbe‘s Ohel at the Old Montefiore Cemetery in Queens. It was his first time there.
He was greeted by Rabbi Simon Jacobson, Dean of the Meaningful Life Center who merited to serve as a choizer of the Rebbe’s teachings.
Rabbi Gerami sat to write a ‘pan’ note requesting blessings for his family and the Jewish community in Tehran. “I am honored to be a Shliach of the Rebbe,” he commented.

He also visited Lubavitch World Headquarters – 770 Eastern Parkway, where he toured the WLCC room which would broadcast the Rebbe’s farbrengens.
He also visited Yeshivas Beis Dovid Shlomo in New Haven, Connecticut, where he was welcomed by Rabbi Yosef Lustig and staff. Rabbi Gerami presented a shiur to the bochurim on the topic of dealing with a person who is ill on Shabbos.
