Loud explosions were heard in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem minutes after the Israeli military warned that it had identified more incoming Iranian missiles, at around 1:30 am on Shabbos in Israel.
Dozens of missiles were launched from Iran toward Israel in the past hour, the Israeli military said, adding that it intercepted some of them.
Reuters footage from Tel Aviv showed a plume of smoke rising after a projectile crashed into the ground.
Emergency crews are responding to reports of fallen projectiles in several parts of the country.
34 were injured in the earlier missile strike in Gush Dan, said Zaki Heller, MDA Spokesperson, including: a woman in critical condition who was later pronounced dead, a man in serious condition, 2 in moderate condition, and 30 in mild condition.
This evening, reports were received at the Magen David Adom 101 emergency hotline about injuries resulting from rockets falling in the Dan Bloc. Very large Magen David Adom forces were immediately dispatched to the scene, using ambulances, intensive care units, and MDA drivers mounted on motorcycles, who provided life-saving medical treatment and evacuated 34 injured people to hospitals. In addition, 13 panic victims were evacuated from the scene.
Deputy Director of the Dan Region and MDA Paramedic Harel Sasson said: “We were called to the scene with extensive destruction as a result of a missile that hit a building. We rescued the injured, one of whom was a 70-year-old woman in critical condition who was injured as a result of the rubble. We provided her with medical treatment and she was evacuated to the hospital while undergoing CPR. In addition, we treated a seriously injured man who suffered a shrapnel wound to the face, and another woman in moderate condition who was also injured by shrapnel. We provided medical treatment on site to several other lightly injured people and evacuated them to hospitals. Large MDA forces are still at the scene and are providing medical security for the scanning operations in the buildings and are prepared to provide medical treatment if necessary.”
Jaffa Station Manager and MDA Paramedic Simcha Simandoev said: ” We arrived at the scene with a large number of Magen David Adom forces and immediately began providing medical treatment to the injured on the spot, with one of them in moderate condition who had been hit in the head, and suffering from burns and smoke inhalation as a result of the fire. We provided him and the other injured who suffered minor injuries with medical treatment and quickly evacuated them to hospitals.”
