Close to 2,000 bochurim from 40 yeshivas are expected to travel to Crown Heights for Yud Shevat, the yartzeit of the previous Lubavitcher Rebbe. A worldwide Kinus for the Temimim will take place on Wednesday, the 10th of Shevat.
The Va’ad Talmidei Hatmimim has announced that the fifth annual “Kinus Hatmimim Ha’olami” – The International Conference of Tmimim and Farbrengen – will take place on Wednesday, the 10th of Shevat, at the Rosa Hall of Campus Chomesh, 470 Lefferts Avenue at 7:00 pm.
Building on the astounding success of previous years, the organizers are expecting an even larger turnout. An evening with a packed program including speakers from various Yeshivas as well as a special video presentation is planned. A festive dinner will be served amidst Niggunim and Farbrengen. The Hanholahs from all Yeshivas are expected to be in attendance. A special emphasis will be on the Farbrengens that will follow the more formal part of the program.
“Yud Shevat represents the largest gathering of Lubavitcher bochurim of the year,” says Yitzi Steiner, one of the event organizers, “This year of Hakhel it is especially imperative that we all unite together under one roof for a Kinus Hisorerus and Farbrengen.”
He added that “This year we will be enhancing the program in several ways, based on feedback received from many Yeshivas.”
just the fact that Bochrim get together why is that not considered substantial.
do you have any additional ideas?
As 770 is in its current status the Rebbe does not participate in events there.
And the Rebbe should be allowed and welcome to participate in a hakhel for bochurim
Hakhel event-why wouldnt you make it in the Rebbes shul and gather everyone together, isnt that what Hakhel means? Isnt that what the Rebbe wants?
take a chill pill
will this event have any substance besides for old people growling and feeling good sitting at a long table what should be the optimized situation in this powerful setting?
ok my comments are disrespectful but these type of things can be somewhat pareve and impotent
