A new three-minute video from Chabad.org’s Jewish.TV shows the ins-and-outs of putting on a tallis.
Following the tremendous reception of the DIY (Do-It-Yourself) Shabbat Candle Lighting and DIY Chanukah videos, Jewish.TV has released DIY Tallis, a five minute video that shows the ins-and-outs of putting on a tallis.
The series, which was made possible by Dovid and Malkie Smetana, aims to give people an up close look at practical mitzvah observance.
Jewish.TV’s Creative Director, Rabbi Shais Taub, explains, “Most people who know how to put on a tallis properly did not learn it from a book. They watched what their father did when they were a kid. Our DIY series gives everybody a chance to have that experience and see how the mitzvos are actually performed.”
Future episodes of the series are currently in production including DIY Tefillin, DIY Mezuzah, and DIY Taking Challah.
