Forty- eight hours of quiet! Two days to forget the upheaval in Kiev! A Shabbat of both heat and warmth, a continuous supply of electricity and water. And most important, spiritual uplifting within the daled amos of the Alter Rebbe.
The Jewish community in Kiev spent this past Shabbos in the unique environment of Hadiatch with their Shluchim, Rabbi Motti and Mrs. Devorah Leah Levenhartz and Rabbi Daniel Lanau in preparation for Yud Tes Kislev. This is always a special experience, how much more so under the current circumstances of war.
At home in Kiev, the trip’s participants are facing water, heating and electricity outages twelve hours a day.
Thanks to Rabbi Schneor Zalman Deitsch, administrator of the Hadiatch complex, they had the best of both worlds, material and spiritual.
During Shabbos, there were farbrengens, Shiurim, Tefillot and of course, a visit to the Tzion of the Alter Rebbe.
Hachlotos were made, including a 60 year old man and 19 year old teenager deciding to have a Bris Milah!
Others decided to be more consistent with Tefillin, Shabbat, and more, during the trip from which the inspiration will last a long time to come.

Motti and Devorahle, lots of hatzlacha! May you merit bringing your community to Eretz Yisrael with Moshiach, NOW
