Immediate life-saving blood donation needed
Shira, an Israeli Jew living in NJ, suddenly collapsed two days ago, and was diagnosed with a rare blood disease. She is in a need of immediate blood donation.
Shira is currently on life support in the IC unit of Valley Hospital, Ridgewood, NJ.
9 blood donations are needed of type AB- to save her life.
*A women never been pregnant.
*Blood type has to be AB
We’ll cover all transportation costs.

Adi Shira is in valley hospital in Ridgewood NJ, diagnosed with T.T.P. Disease. She is now in a critical and desperate need of type AB NEGATIVE BLOOD.
That may need to be continued for 3 to 4 weeks according to her Dr.
I am texting you now full information and answers for questions were asked by potential donors how to donate in almost any place in the country.
A..in order to have the blood requested by valley hospital all donations have to be with VITALANT BLOOD DONATION
Located according to them in many places in the country.
YOU CAN ALSO CALL FOR THE LOCATION TO 877-258-4825
B..you can search on your phone for the closest location of VITALANT and donate your blood at that location.
C.. valley hospital is connected to VITALANT system and you can REST ASSURED that Adi Shira is on first priority to get the donated blood.
D..Type of blood needed is AB NEGATIVE (PREFERRED) and AB POSITIVE ….ONLY.
E..PLASMA of those types can be donated as well to an interested person.
F..if you don’t know your blood type each location can tell you upon a simple test.
G..people with chronic diseases need to tell the location about their medications and condition.
H..if you ask how young can you donate and who can donate it is 16 years of age and up, men or woman that have not yet gone through pregnancy.

For this particular situation, Type O is not good.

Type O is for every blood type. But why need it be someone never pregnant. Never heard of that before. Refuah shlaima

This has to do with certain antigens present forever (after pregnancy) in the blood of women who have ever been pregnant.
Look up “HLA antibodies” if you are interested in learning more.
The presence of such antibodies in donated blood or plasma can cause a serious reaction in a patient receiving that blood, including lung injury.
That is why they cannot (for this patient) accept blood from women who have ever been pregnant.
I saw this situation posted on a group chat and they wrote that Type O will not work in this case.
