Imagine a school with no tests, no homework, no marks. Where every student who is in class wants to be there. Where students have their phones with them but don’t use them except for translating (most of the time ☺).
Imagine a school where teachers and students interact with utmost respect. Where every question is considered valid (though sometimes off topic ☺). Where thoughtful, meaningful answers are given to questions or at the very least, “Good question! I’ll look into that!” And the teacher comes back with an answer or arranges a speaker on the topic.
Imagine a school where the students look up to their teachers as living examples of what they are being taught.
Imagine a school where the hanhala views every student as unique and attempts to guide her as befits that student’s personal, individual journey.
This school isn’t a dream that will only be a reality in the perfect world of Moshiach, this school is Machon L’Yahadus, where young Jewish women learn, live and love Judaism.
How is this possible? Alumna Musya Shifren’s own word explain a huge part of the equation: “Can you imagine a principal who everyone respects, appreciates and has a warm relationship with?! That principal is the one and only Rabbi Majeski!”
Shlucha Sheva Rapoport of Northridge, California, posted a link for the current $360,000 campaign that Machon LYahadus is running with the following message:
“I want to share a few things I have noticed from the experience of sending a student to Machon L’Yahadus.
“I have never seen such individual care for every person like they do over there, connections with teachers, families, in all aspects.
“They will never ever turn someone away because of money. They would rather the student have spending money than use that amount towards tuition.
“It is pretty much the only option in the USA for non-affiliated Jewish girls to get an immersive Jewish school experience.
“Oh, and they really respect the Shluchim and people they work with.
“In short it is unique, it is pure, it is doing very holy work on our behalf.
“No one asked me to support it. But I see the need and if you can support, it is money very well spent (as you can see from the reasons above ☺”
