Let me share the incredible journey of DollarDaily.org with you. It all started when three groups, COLLIVE.com, Yosef Shidler, and Yad Lashliach, came together with a simple yet powerful goal – to help shluchim. We believed that by getting lots of people to contribute just $1 a day in a central location, we could make a significant impact. And boy, were we right!
Fast forward two years, and with the support of countless amazing people, our fund is now doing amazing things. We’re providing an impressive $730 daily to assist shluchim. It’s mind-blowing to think that we’ve given out a quarter of a million dollars already, all thanks to those $1 donations from kind-hearted individuals like you.
But we didn’t stop there. To take DollarDaily to new heights, we introduced “Illuminations,” an extraordinary project that captures and documents the incredible firsthand stories of shluchim in a way that’s never been done before. These stories speak of their successes, their struggles, their miracles, and everything in between. From the highs to the lows, the celebrations, and even the heart-wrenching tragedies – “Illuminations” tells it all.
Our journey with “Illuminations” began with a weekly newsletter, and we’re thrilled to say we’re now on our 79th edition, with many more interviews lined up. The stories have poured in, and they’ve been so compelling that we knew we couldn’t keep them limited to the newsletter. That’s when the idea of creating a real magazine-style layout book, spanning 425 pages, came to life.
Now, we’re determined to bring this incredible collection to print, but we need your help. Printing the book comes with significant costs, exceeding $25,000. And that’s not all; we also need to cover expenses for writers, design layout specialists, and essential site work to keep growing DollarDaily.org.
The amazing thing is, every penny that comes into DollarDaily goes directly to helping shluchim. Any extra site development and maintenance are taken care of with separately fundraised money. “Illuminations” – also a separate fund.
