A female IDF soldier who had been kidnapped by Hamas on October 7 was freed during a ground operation in the Gaza Strip, the IDF and Shin Bet announced.
Female IDF soldier Col. Ori Magidish was released during a ground operation in Gaza on Sunday night.
The soldier was medically examined, her condition is good and she met with her family.
The IDF and Shin Bet will continue to make every effort to bring about the release of the rest of the hostages, they said.

I absorb this news with mixed feelings. So happy for the freed hostage and her family and loving ones. Sad for those still trapped and held (and their families and loving ones) and for the killed and their families. This news must also provide mixed feelings for the families of those still trapped/held – happy for the freed one, hope for those trapped, and also slightly more in pain that their loved ones are not freed, and might perhaps have it ore difficult to get freed.
