The first session in Taharas Hamishapacha International/ Mikvah.org’s Six Part Review Series took off with resounding success.
200 women attended the session, hosted at the home of Rabbi Moshe and Faigy Rubashkin in Crown Heights.
Over 500 women participated via live feed thanks to JLI/Torah Cafe, which was widely anticipated by women around the world, who thanked the organizers for the groundbreaking series.
“Wow! I just read an article on COLLive about your upcoming Taharas Hamishpacha refresher course and am so very grateful,” wrote Chani S. before the event. “I have been wanting to refresh my knowledge for a while now, and was wishing that I could attend such a course like my sister in Crown Heights has had available. Of course there are shiurim online, tapes I could buy, and books to read but it really is not the same as something live.”
The evening begn with Mrs. Estie Majerczyc, who welcomed all attendees and viewers and thanked the numerous people who worked diligently toward the success of this series.
Mrs. Chaya M. Klein of Mikvah.org and MyMikvahCalendar.org presented a review of the laws of the Onas Haveset, bringing clarity to a topic many find confusing.
Rabbi Rafael Aron of Melbourne, Australia presented an alternate view to the ever popular world of online social networking, stressing the importance of strengthening the boundaries between the private and public domains and the effect that can have on a marriage.
Email feedback has been positive and everyone is excited about this series and looking forward to the remaining five sessions.
“Thank you for your review tonight!” wrote one participant. “I especially liked your concise, clear format without dragging on explanations too long for any one of the three parts of calculation so that we can get the bigger picture without losing track of where we’re going with it.”
Delicious refreshments were provided by Itzik Benabou of Empire Kosher.
We encourage every married woman to attend the subsequent critical sessions. These sessions can make a difference to their observance of these absolutely vital laws.
The sessions will be posted online at Mikvah.org as soon as possible. Please allow time for technical issues and review by presenters and rabbanim.
The success of this tremendous effort has only been accomplished with the partnership of Junior N’shei Chabad, Congregation Bais Shmuel, JLI/Torah Caf?, Oihel Nosson, and the New Mikvah Mei Chaya Mushka of Crown Heights, Collive.com and Shmais.com. We thank each of your for your continued support.
