Hundreds turned out for the RCCS Summer Barbecue event in Flatbush Wednesday, benefitting the organization which assists cancer patients.
Once again, the two neighboring communities of Crown Heights and Marine Park were invited to participate. Funds raised will benefit the scores of cancer-stricken patients in the Flatbush, Marine Park and Crown Heights communities.
The outdoor barbecue took place at East 22nd Street and Avenue I, in front of the home of Pinny and Yaffa Rand, and included entrees, mouth-watering accoutrements, wine tasting, sushi and exciting raffle prizes.
The exciting program included musical entertainment by the popular Eighth Day band’s Shmuly and Bentzi Marcus.
Each year, RCCS saves the lives of hundreds of cancer-stricken patients in need by subsidizing their health insurance premiums, thus providing them access to the best possible medical care. Today, RCCS subsidizes insurance policies for over 350 cancer-stricken patients each year, and provides hundreds more with emergency medical subsidies, insurance advocacy, social services, and medical direction.
