Hundreds of Chassidim from across Israel and around the world have landed in Almaty, Kazakhstan, in the past hours in honor of Chof Menachem Av, the yahrzeit of Harav Levi Yitzchak Schneerson OBM, the father of the Rebbe.
The guests — including Shluchim, Rabbonim, Anash and bochurim — were warmly welcomed at the local hotel lobby, which had been prepared in advance with large banners displaying the image of the revered Rav, along with inspiring quotes about his life and legacy.
Throughout the day, the visitors will participate in a full Chassidishe program, featuring shiurim, lectures, and farbrengens.
