The Democrats Socialists of America (DSA) have made Crown Heights GROUND ZERO in their efforts to take over the city, they have invested hundreds of thousands to take our neighborhood and tens of millions to take over the city.
There is a serious chance that Michael Hollingsworth will be our councilmember due to a huge turnout at polling locations in DSA strongholds like Park Slope, which shares the council district with Crown Heights.
The latest internal poll shows that the race could come down to 500 votes.
Crown Heights United is asking everyone to check with friends and family to ensure they voted.
Michael Hollingsworth told the Jewish Insider on Sunday, “Our campaign supports BDS and stands in solidarity with Palestinians who are protesting military occupation.”
This may very well be one of the most consequential elections for crown heights.
The impact of this election will be felt in our schools, our home and our streets.
We have the ability to determine whether Crown Heights is represented by a dangerous radical who promotes anti-Semitic ideas who could destroy much of what we hold dear.

I’d love to see Crown Heights become more progressive and liberal. The conservative mindset in this community is unbearable.
We do indeed see it becoming that way: more crime , more filth in streets, more homeless, more crazy ppl roaming around, more crime , break-ins , more fire works at night, less police, less quality of life.
DemocRats are doing a fine job destroying this once beautiful city. We made this neighborhood into a garden back in the 50s when the area was an empty lot. MAybe a few blocks around Kingston. How many homes here are crumbling? How many buildings here are poorly maintained? With increasing rent costs. Do you not see the mass exodus? There are plenty of things for the community to address with out adding inflammatory conspiracy theories to the mix.
I personally don’t expect free housing and the rents went up when other people decided to move into our neighborhood- because of the garden we created- and some decided to sell for exorbitant prices (park slope is more expensive). The problems of unpunished crime against our community, harrassment and assault, and the homeless shelters the city set up right near our schools, the targeted parking ticket enforcement and an alternate side parking schedule that made it impossible to park after 6 pm, the general degeneration of the society around us, that’s a far bigger problem.

I walked in the rain halfway acrossCrown Heights to vote to defeat this dangerous radical, and discovered that he is not even running in my district. The huge voter turnout was a total of three voters at my polling place.
The name is a downright oxymoron. Socialists governments most often are made up of oligarchs who actually have very little use for ideas that come from the people themselves, so there’s no “democracy” going on there. The people that embrace Socialism eventually find that the parts of their government that work best are the democratic, free-enterprise ideas they ultimately need to “resort” to to keep their governments viable.
