Right now, over 2,300 students are learning in Beth Rivkah. As the flagship school for Chabad girls in Crown Heights, Beth Rivkah has been the launchpad of countless shluchos, educators, and community leaders.
Indeed many of the teachers currently employed at the school were once Beth Rivkah students themselves. It is this inter-generational bond that connects students to teachers, the teachers to their lessons, and the lessons to our Rebbeim themselves.
This chayus, which transcends time, is fueled in the homes of the faculty and fills the hallways of the school. Despite its size, the personal connection is palpable in the lives of students―beyond the walls of the classroom.
Mrs. Tzirl Goldman, who teaches the 10th grade, opens up her home after school hours for students to get together―free of expectations and textbooks―to connect with each other in their own way. These are the bonds that last a lifetime and guide the girls as they continue to grow in their own right.
Just last week, in honor of Yud Kislev, her kitchen was filled with students cooking food for Bikur Cholim. “When girls ask me how I stay inspired, I tell them it’s about this. Giving back and helping others,” she explained. “Beth Rivkah is an experience unlike anything else. It’s really carrying on the Rebbe’s holy work through the school that the Friediker Rebbe founded. I feel immense privilege and responsibility to be teaching here and part of this great mission.”
Dedication to the community is a hallmark of Beth Rivkah educators. No matter the challenge, they readily make themselves available, often during their own time, to ensure girls feel involved and connected. This is the way.
In honor and support of their tireless efforts, Beth Rivkah is preparing to launch its annual, Charidy fundraising campaign. On December 18th-19th, Kislev 20th-21st, the school will kick off a $1,000,000 matching event to celebrate the brochos at the school throughout the years. Learn more at charidy.com/br
Mrs Goldman is the best person!!!!
I was so fortunate to be her student:)
Thank you Mrs Goldman and all the teachers of Beis Rivka! You inspire our girls every day! And yes although it is a huge school, with hundreds of girls per grade, every girl counts!
Thank you!
