Got to give these guys credit for pulling it off. I feel bad for the guards who, due to human error and reliance on years of nothing happing, to be presumably lax (unless they were somehow complicit, which I doubt). Lessons for me: If I take a job that requires 100% attention, 100% of the time, I’d best be prepared to and perform that, regardless of boring repetitiveness. That which seems impossible, may not be. I’m curious why nowhere is it clear the specific crimes and events these men did to get their life sentences.

Do you honestly think Israel enjoys keeping terrorists in their prisons, or spending the money it takes to do so? These prisoners are murderers, not petty thieves or tax evaders, and the only way to control them is to either employ capital punishment when they are caught (perhaps not a bad idea) or imprison them for life. Why is it important to you whether they murdered, or colluded in murdering, one Israeli or dozens? If it was one of your beloved family members or friends that they aided and abetted in killing would you still be “curious”?
