Hi Boys and Girls! Welcome back to “History’s Heroes” Where we learn about our favorite Jewish Heroes and craft, paint, or experiment, along the way!
Highlight: Aharon
The Jewish people dedicated the Mishkan for seven days, preparing everything with intention and devotion. On the eighth day, it was all set, but one vital element remained: the Shechina, the Divine Presence. Only Aharon, with his extraordinary capacity for love for each person, could bring the Shechina to rest within the Mishkan. His deep love for peace and for every Jew achieved more on that eighth day than the seven preceding days combined!Did you know that by Matan Torah, Aharon stood alone at the top of Har Sinai, a testament to his unique standing? As the first Kohen Gadol, he laid the foundation for all Kohanim who followed, tracing their lineage back to him. On Rosh Chodesh Av, Aharon passed away, finding his final resting place in a cave on the mountain known as Har Hahar, just before the Jewish people entered Eretz Yisrael.
To beautifully illustrate Aharon’s loving nature, we will embark on a creative project where we craft a heart using colorful string. This craft will involve gathering multiple strands of string, which we’ll meticulously intertwine to create a visually stunning and harmonious piece of art. Make sure to have your materials ready: we’ll be pushing nails into a foam block base and carefully tying the string around them. As we work together to magically create a heART!
Please join our contest, where we raffle off 2 Tickets to the Jewish Children’s Museum, when a completed project (picture or video) is sent to [email protected] . Hatzlacha J
