Tanya Was Printed in 8 Cities Across Sweden

Last week, Merkos Shlichus bochurim, Zushe Rivkin and Mendel Andrusier travelled around the West Coast of Sweden, visiting the local Jews and printing Tanyas in 8 cities.

As per the Rebbe’s instructions, 108 Tanyas were printed in each location.

It was an emotional experience for many.

In the town of Härryda – also home to the Gothenburg airport- surrounded by forests and lakes, on the farm of a former Kibbutznik, Yossi Shachar, the first batch of 108 Tanyas was completed. Yossi was tremendously uplifted by the farbrengens with the shluchim and the Tanya Shiur during the printing and invited the bochurim to meet and farbreng with a group of Israelis in a cafe a few days later.

“What you did here was a once in a lifetime opportunity,” said Ulf Philipson, of Mölnlycke, Sweden, who watched his home transformed to a Tanya printshop, with amazement.

The presence of the bochurim, with pages of Tanya pouring out of the machines had an incredible impact on the atmosphere in every home they visited.
“There is such a Shechina now in the house, it’s incredible!” said Pia Paz, who hosted the printing in Falkenberg, Sweden, together with her husband, Erez.

Visits to Jewish homes with tefillin, mezuzos and Tanya printings also took place in the cities of Mölndal, Borås, Halmstad, Kungsbacka and the beautiful island of Öckerö.

Rabbi Namdar said the impact of the presence of the bochurim was powerful. On Shabbos the weekly locals at the Gothenburg Chabad House were uplifted by hearing from the Merkos Shluchim.

We don’t understand the significance of the printing of the Tanya in all of these remote locations, but the Rebbe sees things we do not see.
