A historic new Kovetz publication that compiles correspondence of the Rebbetzin Chaya Mushka, the Rebbe‘s wife, for the first time, is being printed this week in honor of her 120th birthday on 25 Adar.
In this new publication, a rare glimpse is provided into her correspondence with her friends and family, including letters, postcards, and telegrams from throughout the years.
The letters date back to a year before her wedding to the Rebbe, where the Rebbetzin details her plans for the upcoming year to a friend.
The highlight of the Kovetz are the preface and footnotes, which detail the background and circumstances behind each of the letters.
The booklet is a project of Vaad Talmidei Hatmimim and was produced by a group of dedicated bochurim who did the research behind the correspondence.
“The Rebbe spoke often about Vehachai Yiten El Libo – learning from the Rebbetzin’s ways – and this booklet is an opportunity to learn about the Rebbetzin’s life and what we can emulate of her special personality,” organizers told COLlive.
Copies will be sold upstairs in 770 and online sales will be announced in the future.
