Hikind Cheers Lone IDF Soldiers

Assemblyman Dov Hikind is currently in Israel on a four-day solidarity trip to give support and chizuk to Israelis as well as the thousands of Americans who are currently studying in Israel.

On Motzei Shabbos, Hikind sponsored a melave malka-kumzitz barbecue for lone IDF soldiers organized by “Chayal el Chayal,” an organization founded by Ari Abramowitz and Mordy Botnick.

The organization provides for the physical and spiritual needs of these soldiers, who made aliyah to Israel from all over the world, and are serving on the front lines without any family in Israel.

“It’s amazing, you represent every part of the world,” Hikind told the group of soldiers who are not Israelis but have volunteered to serve in the Israeli army. “You are our heroes – you are on the front lines. For what you are doing for the Jewish people, we love you and may G-d be with you,” Hikind said.
