For the first time ever, the Lubavitch London Schools in London, England, with over 60 years of history, are having their first Charity Extra crowdfunding campaign culminating on Lag Baomer.
The Frierdiker Rebbe sent Rabbi Benzion Shemtov shortly after the Second World War to strengthen Jewish education in England. The schools have grown and morphed into three schools; Primary Boys School, Primary Girls School and Senior Girls School.
The schools, which are joined under an Academy Trust, deliver a Lubavitch chinuch which is also recognized by British standards under the National Curriculum.
The campaign’s theme, LOOKING FORWARD TOGETHER, is built on the strength of unity gathering together the current pupils, families, community and alumni which represents oneness of Ahavas Hashem, Ahavas Yisroel and Ahavas Hatorah.
Lubavitch London schools, being in the centre of an international metropolitan city are in a unique position to shape pupils and their character who go on to become shluchim and influencers in many circles around the world.
Rabbi Aaron Cousin, former Headmaster and veteran teacher: ‘Thousands of people have gone through our doors, many of them are now shluchim of the Lubavitcher Rebbe around the world. Please support in a generous manner. The way you conduct down here, is a generous way, so too hashem will treat you in a generous way.’
Rabbi Shmuel Lew, Principle of Lubavitch Senior Girls School: ‘Our schools take a particular interest in each and every individual student, in ensuring they are raised with care, chabad values and Jewish inspiration. This is the best investment you can make’.
Hadasa Korer, Chair of Trustees: ‘We want to enable every child with their infinite potential coming through our doors to receive a quality and enriched education uniquely infused with Chabad Lubavitch philosophy, perspective and values. We can allow students to go through a transformative journey where they connect with their inner self to discover their abilities, who they are and what their purpose in life is, in a loving, caring and nourishing environment.
The campaign’s success relies on our partners, staff, parents, pupils, alumni, and the wider global community all joining together in unity to make an impact and fulfil this vision for the next generation of children and Jewish leadership. You too can become part of this greater cause by spreading the word, sharing with your friends and donating directly.’
The Senior Girls Schools recently was featured in the British Jewish Chronicle, starring as number one on the league table for achieving best results in A levels. This was compared against the English national average and came out at the top compared to all English state-funded schools.
Please invest today and consider leaving your mark where the next generation of Shluchim and Jewish leaders are being developed.
