R’ Heshy Unger, a longtime Crown Heights resident, passed away on Friday, Rosh Chodesh Kislev, 5783.
R’ Heshy was a kind-hearted and soft-spoken member of Empire Shteibel for many years who kept the Torah and minhagim with a zest and sincerity- always looking to share a kind word and help others.
The family would appreciate learning Mishnayos and tzedakah in Heshy’s merit.
Heshy should be a melitz yosher in for klal Yisrael.
He is survived by his sister Miriam Wahl and nephews in Belgium.

as a young boy i remember heshy as always smiling, soft spoken & perfectly put together
as a young child i remember delivering shalach manos to his home each purim on brooklyn avenue looking foward to his 2 dollar bill & goldenberg peanut chews
when my mother needed an emergency ride to the hospital heshy was there with his small car
and when our familly needed help transporting our sukka , heshy managed to get it all on top of his car.
to remember heshy is to remember his dear friend ” OHBI goldblatt”
