Dear Fellow Anash,
My name is Rabbi Ahron Hecht. My wife Sara and I have had the Zchus of serving the yidden in S. Francisco, at our Chabad house, the RTC-CHABAD, for over 30 years.
Our community is made up of mainly Russian families. Many of the men, young and old, are originally from the former soviet union, and experienced great anti-semitic abuse in Russia. After meeting us, many of them courageously decided to embrace their Jewish identity and learn more about their heritage.
These beautiful souls have transformed their lives completely. They are dedicating themselves to a life of Torah and Mitzvos. And they are looking to grow.
We know that Mikvah has tremendous power.
Many individuals wrote to the Rebbe complaining that they were having difficulty attaching themselves to their Judaism. They constantly ran into obstacles, such as: lack of concentration, and total apathy. The Rebbe advised them, among other things, to “be careful about immersing in a Mikvah.” Mikvah brings purity and a sensitivity to holiness to those who use it.
Many of the men in our community have learned about the power of Mikvah. They are ready to experience it, and incorporate mikvah usage in their daily life.
This is why we are building a mikvah. The only Chabad Mikvah in San Francisco, and the only Men’s Mikvah in San Francisco.
Please help them on their journey, and give them the opportunity to go to the mikvah on a regular basis before praying, shabbos, and yom tov.
We are raising $250,000. Beginning at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, a generous, anonymous person has pledged to match each and every donation that you give to the RTC-Chabad Mikvah.
This donation matching campaign is for 36 hours only!
After that, your donations will not be doubled.
No amount is too small!!
To donate, please visit www.rtchabad.org
In the merit of your participation in this great Mitzvah, may you be blessed with good health, much joy, and abundant success in all your endeavors.
Sincerely,
Rabbi Ahron & Sara Hecht
Only 9 hours left to double your impact!!
Please helm them, $60k and 18 hours to go
I highly recommend donating to this cause! Rabbi and Sarah Hecht add so much Kedushah with their high quality classes, hospitality, events etc, It is a huge Zechus to add Kedushah to an area in the world with too much Tumah!
