An inspiring and joyous farbrengen was held near the Rebbe’s Ohel to celebrate the great yomtov of our generation, Hei Teves.
Hundreds of chasidim, including shluchim who have traveled from their posts around the world, joined together to celebrate the day which the Rebbe designated as “an auspicious day and a favorable time,” the day the Rebbe was victorious and the federal judge recognized the immutable fact that the Rebbe and the chasidim are eternally connected.
The farbrengen, organized by Vaad Or Vechom Hahiskashrus, began with a special viewing of the Public Audience the Rebbe held on 15 Tammuz 5745, in which he discussed the spiritual underpinnings of the case, followed by Ma’ariv.
The crowd was addressed by Rabbi Mendel Feller of Twin Cities, Minnesota, Rabbi Yisroel Spalter of Westin, Florida, and Rabbi Sholom Ber Levitin of Seattle, Washington. The farbrengen was emceed by Rabbi Yosef Chaim Kantor of Bangkok, Thailand.
Following the speeches, the assembled crowd farbrenged and danced throughout the night. One farbrengen was led by Rabbi Yosef Ahronov, chairman of Lubavitch Youth Organization in Israel. Notable was the Yeshivas Lubavitch of Baltimore who traveled to the Rebbe for Hei Teves and farbrenged with the famed mashpia Rabbi Nochum Bukiet.
Thousands participated in the farbrengen virtually via live stream at Chabad.org/OrVechom and can be viewed here at COLlive.com. For Hei Teves resources, visit bit.ly/heitevesresources.
