camp emunah will never (till moshiach) and can never be the same without rabbi hecht! when i daven on shabbos and read the tefilla “atzabeihem kesef..” i envision r. hecht. it’s probably one of the only tefillow i know the meaning of.
hi chayus, his eyes, his stature are attributes of r. hecht that remain engrained in my mind. camp emunah jsut isn’t the same anymore 🙁
    moshiach now.

The Rebbe once called him Rabbi Jay Jay Hecht

I remember one Farbrengen (late 60’s or early 70’s) when someone announced in front of the Rebbe that he did something that he learned from his two teachers Rabbis Avrohom & Jay Jay Hecht, so the Rebbe followed up by announcing; where is Rabbi Avrohom & Jay Jay Hecht? Let them say Lchaim!
