In honor of Yom Kippur and Succos, HaMesivta, directed by Rabbi Lieblich gave the students a live demonstration of shechita and had a hands-on class on how to choose an esrog and lulav.
Yaakov Zirkind brought a few chickens to yeshiva where he taught and demonstrated the laws of shechita and explained the laws of koshering, the boys had a chance to see it live and were able to be part of the koshering process.
Rabbi Keller gave the students a class on what to look for in a esrog and lulav with samples of the many different types and shapes of esrogim.
The trip was arranged by their newly appointed English principal, Shmuly Hecht.
