The solidarity rally for the Yidden in Eretz Yisrael on Tuesday brought Jews together from all corners of the United States, coming in through plane, bus, and car, with a notable representation from New York.
Bochurim Mendel Meretzky, Mendel Hecht, Aron Dov Hecht, Chaim Levin, Ari Kraut and Ephi Wolpin traveled from Crown Heights, setting out at 6:00 AM, Tefillin in hand, eager to halp as many fellow Jews as possible don Tefillin in the merit of Israel.
“However, we got a flat tire on the New Jersey Turnpike shortly at the beginning of our journey,” the Bochurim told COLlive.com.
They were relieved when a compassionate Jew from Flatbush not only stopped to assist but went the extra mile, helping them by driving them to a tire shop so they could get a new tire.
“Aside from him, several other Jewish cars also pulled over, ensuring our safety,” they noted.
About an hour later, the Bochurim encountered another group from Queens headed to the rally, including the renowned Jewish music artist Mordy Shapiro, facing a similar tire challenge.
“Offering the use of our jack and expertise, we helped to swiftly put on a spare tire,” the Bochurim relate.
Thw fellow Jews then sang and danced together before heading out on their way.
“This story highlights the exceptional love and support we Yidden have for each other in times of need,” the Bochurim said.
“It’s truly amazing how we Yidden help each other out. Hashem loves when we love each other, and it definitely won’t go unnoticed. May Hashem protect all the Yidden in Eretz Yisrael, and may our call for Moshiach be answered right now!”
