It’s the event of the year. And you want to be there.
The Beis Medrash Women’s Circle is celebrating their fourth anniversary with an epic Hakhel melava malka. The dinner, to take place on 21 Teves, January 2, 2016 will celebrate the Circle’s fourth successful year and herald its fifth.
Since 2011, the Women’s Circle has met every Wednesday morning for learning and friendship at its base at 580 Crown Street. The classes, which are baby-friendly, cover a wide range of topics and are open to women of all ages. A dozen special events throughout the year are enjoyed by the broader Crown Heights community. For this sisterhood that embodies the theme of hakhel at its very core, this year is a particularly exciting one.
The evening’s main speakers will speak to the theme of community.
Mrs. Keren Blum, co-director of Chabad of Columbia University, will share her personal journey from college student to college rebbetzin. In her frank, friendly style she will discuss how her journey of self led to a greater journey in which she has created a vibrant group of women on campus.
Based on her own struggles, and the help she has provided to countless other women, Dr. Sara Barris will talk about the power of support and community in the challenge of infertility. Both women will discuss the greater, all-encapsulating potency of joining together.
The evening will include lots of fun surprises including a unique raffle opportunity.
