Gymies Expands Summer Camp

Summer is upon us, and a new camp is preparing to open its doors. The destination is familiar, a venue that has come through and scored before, but the content is altogether new. This summer Gymies and The Space will open its doors to girls ages 6 to 8 years for a summer program loaded with possibilities.

At The Camp Gymies Creative Movement Summer Camp, campers will experience 4 hours of class every day. Each day will have a different focus: Monday is slated for Gymnastics, Tuesday for Ballet and Wednesday for Aerial Arts (think trapeze!). And of course one day a week is reserved for Trip day. Sleepovers included.

Classes will be led by professionally trained movement instructors at Gymies’ new sister company, The Space, just upstairs from Gymies, which is centrally located on President St and Kingston Ave.

Not only is the movement schedule out-of-this-world, but even lunch time is health-focused, being chock full of healthy fare, including fresh fruit at snack time and veggies or salad with every well-balanced meal. Davening and Parsha are part of the daily schedule. Arts n’ Crafts and fun trades like gardening, baking and cooking will complete this perfect week.

The best part for parents by far is that this camp caters to every family, is available to everyone, and every schedule. Booking is available by week, starting June 23rd and running through August 22nd, just before school begins. Whether you are the working parents who will need a full summer with after care (available!), or you are the family that is away for a bit, to the mother who wants her child to experience even one solid week of this unique camp, this camp is for you.

As a child growing up in Los Angeles it was hard to find a place for art, movement and talent, in a frum environment.
