Bipolar disorder is a mental illness which manifests itself as extreme mood swings punctuated with periods of “normalcy”, ranging at its worst from excessive energy, creativity, & “highs”, then the victim plummets to extreme lethargy, depressed-like symptoms of no interest in anything, including himself. It is generally treatable if the person takes medication; maybe hospitalization is necessary. It can generally be managed in a way that allows the person with the disorder to live a stable life, but no treatment is perfect and states of extreme depression and/or mania are still possible to emerge. Yes. bipolar, what is so strange about that? Many of the most talented artists were also bipolar. Especially today when there are proper medications to help a bipolar person to live a normal life like everyone else.
