A project meant to bring light and add in acts of goodness and kindness has led to an act of blatant anti-Semitism on Thursday.
A large mural hung outside of the Jewish Children’s Museum in Crown Heights to encourage passersby to make a good resolution on how they would change the world on little post-it notes was defaced.
The mural is promoting a Charidy fundraising campaign for Tzivos Hashem, which will take place on Tuesday.
Witnesses said they saw an African American teenaged girl writing on the wall along with others, and when she left the wall, they saw that she had written “Hitler is Coming.”
Passersby tried to find her, but she had already walked away and she was not found.
The NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force has been notified and is investigating, police said.
Devorah Halberstam, Co-Founder of the Jewish Children’s Museum, said she was horrified to hear of the act of vandalism.
“This act is an exact contrast to the mandate and mission of this institution, that was built to encourage acceptance, tolerance, and understanding for the Jewish culture,” Halberstam told COLlive.
The act is not surprising, Halberstam said. “Within the last few months, the front of the museum has been defaced twice, and the pictures have been keyed and damaged,” she said.
“That is why it is urgent that we have a security guard stationed outside the plaza of the Museum to protect our most vulnerable, the children of our community. The location of our museum is in the belly of the beast, with it being one of the most high profile targets in the city of New York,” she said.
I never understood why black people always refer to Hilter YMSH, he would probably have killed them first.
This just shows how stupid they are.

Actually they were killed by Hitler but only the small amount of blacks that lived in Europe at the time. They don’t know their own history and even if they did all that really matters is the opportunity to destroy something or other.
Black Germans were discriminated against but were not killed. In fact there were black soldiers in the Wehrmacht, and even a few in the Hitler Jugend and the SS!

She is entitled to express her opinion, however disgusting it is. The museum invited the public to express themselves — it cannot limit that to only those whose opinions it likes. Of course it can and did remove her note, but she was entitled to post it.
But black antisemitism is something we can’t talk about.. cause if we do, we are racist.
People need to take away race here & think of it like this. If u knew that only people with black jackets were attacking Jews in CH and that for the last twenty years only people with black jackets had been attacking Jews, would u be more weary of people with black jackets in CH?
I just want to say that my last comment wasn’t meant in any sort of racist way. It isn’t about being racist. It’s about these are the people who are punching us, pulling knives on us, strangling us, throwing rocks at us, beating us, and threatening us. White people aren’t doing that here.
When white people start attacking Jews in CH, then I will be weary of white people in CH too.

Because she wrote a note and stuck it on, sorry that the cops spidy senses did not pick up her racist writing in time. Don’t blame police blame our inaction to get in the face of hate.
What could they do about it? She broke no law. The police have no right to harass her just because they don’t like her opinion.
Yes there is a large police vehicle on this corner usually, but it’s also, most of the time vacant.
Don’t cry victim: Post the Noahide Laws and Noahide website around Crown Heights! What are we afraid of? The Rebbe said more police and more jails is NOT THE SOLUTION and teaching the Noahide Laws is! That is our job and obligation according to the Rambam. I saw the evidence collection unit of the police department on the scene, they were trying to locate that racist statement but they couldn’t, it may have been erased by the time they came

Tzivos Hashems creativity is unbelievable! They take the most real concepts and present it to our children in the most exciting motivating way!
Saddens me each year to see how Tzivos Hashem, the most valuable mossad for our children, struggles each year to hit their fundraising campaign goal. Chevreh,we can do better! This is benefiting our own children and the answer the Rebbe gave for today’s youth! I hope this year they’ll even be able to hit a bonus round!
