Munich, Mevasseret Tzion, Buenos Aires, Costa Rico, Johannesburg, Rio de Janeiro, Melbourne, Chicago, Miami, and Toronto.
Machon Chana alumnae in these cities and dozens of other locations are gathering together this Motzei Shabbos, Hei Teves, to mark the shloshim of their beloved dorm mother, Mrs. Gita Gansburg.
An educator par excellence, Mrs. Gansburg was an honest and direct person who had boundless patience and infinite love for the young women whom she helped raise to truly become the Rebbe’s “daughters.”
To help facilitate that events would be organized in as many cities as possible, a google-group of “Shloshim Heads” was created soon after the end of the shiva. A beautiful flyer, a tribute booklet comprised of memories from alumnae, a video, and information about a live-stream of the Crown Heights event, were made available to all those who are planning their own local events.
In Crown Heights, the Shloshim Melave Malka for women will take place at the Machon Chana dormitory, 1367 President Street. The dorm was Mrs. Gansburg’s home for the 38 years that she (together with her husband Rabbi Itchke Gansburg) served as dorm mother.
The Melave Malka begins at 8:30 p.m. and the program begins at 9:00 p.m. Rabbi Shloma Majeski, Mrs. Gansburg’s grandson Rabbi Mendy Chanin, her nieces Mrs. Shaindy Jacobson and Mrs. Sara Lieberman, alumnae Mrs. Shimona Tzukernik and Mrs. Adina Adrei, and current student Miss Tanya Cretu, will be speaking.
A video collage of interviews and anecdotes will be shown at the Melave Malka.
Mrs. Nechama Chanin will launch the “Rabbi and Mrs. Gansburg Dorm Parents Fund.” Money donated to the fund will be used to enhance the dorm experience for Machon Chana students. Donations can be made at machonchanayeshiva.com. The website will also be continuously updated until Friday with the locations of Shloshim events internationally.

Can someone please post up the email address
Where I can send my info to them to be on the alumnae list?
For reminding and sharing with us the special attributes of this Mother of many. We as Machon Chana Alumni are so blessed to have known her and she will be with us in spirit always.
