A small group of ladies came up with an idea which has now mushroomed to a worldwide project.
The idea of a few women to bake Challah on Tu B’Av in the merit of Shidduchim for themselves or loved ones quickly spread, and “now we have three groups of 100 committed to bake on Tu Bav worldwide,” organizers said. “Please spread the word so we can include more people.”
Tu B’Av is a unique day historically with regard to shidduchim. In an effort to evoke rachamimin rabim and daven for all our singles involved in shidduchim, women worldwide will be connecting b’achdus on Tu B’Av through tzeddaka, tefillah and the mizvoh of challah.
If you plan to bake challah on Tu B’Av, and would like to join this international event, please follow the link and make sure to enter your first and last names and your whatsapp number correctly, including your country code, so you can be welcomed into the group.

If you are having difficulty opening the link email them at:

The deadline to join is Wednesday, August 17, 2016 MIDDAY EASTERN TIME.
Due to the overwhelming response, please be patient while you are being processed into a whatsapp group. Each group will have 100 participants and be provided a list of singles to daven for.
Enter the names of your singles carefully, as names will be posted exactly as entered.
A mother baking challah submits only the names of her children. However, one whose children are not involved in Shidduchim may still bake and submit the names for one mother whose children are looking for Shidduchim.
Please do not submit more than once.
May all our efforts, teffilos and ma’asim tovim be counted and answered l’tova b’korov!
I’m 25 plus and I wish someone would do this. Even though im.still considered chassidish and not modern I wouldn’t mind having a speed date like this. The problem is chassdish like minded bochurim don’t come. I’ve been to one singles event and there were no suitable bochurim there. When someone sets this up can you please let me know???
Put $$$ in an envelope & give it for Hachnosas Kalla.
yes you could include everyone
When I bake (semi) weekly, I have a list of several singles (not mine, B”H) and cholim for whom I daven. Can I include all my names when I take challah, but just post the singles? From only one or a few families? Thanks.
Does it have to be family only? The ad says for mothers who have kids who need shidduchim
UP TO HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN I DAVEN FOR PUT ON THE LIST
I have several nephews close friends.
To Shliach from NJ, I like the idea. I’ve often thought about how many persons come to the ohel on any given day to daven for a shidduch. Why couldn’t they have a manned shadchan booth there just like there is a manned tefilin booth. Match’ em up and send them out to Five Towns (or wherever) on a few dates and boom. End of shidduch crisis. I know it’s not realistic and really it is a joke, but in concept there should be a good way to capitalize on the fact that so many eligible people are entering into… Read more »
Here is an other suggestion. Arranging ‘fast dates’ on 15 of Av, like the time of the Beis Hamikdash. Basically from 25 and older, it should be a very nice place (retreat style) light food etc. where a Bochur meets a girl for 15 minutes, then they both meet others for 15 minutes, then again and again, when they see something nice and matching, they either arrange a date right there or ( ut a note in their cell and call a shadchan etc. the put a note in their cell. it would be advisable that a few ladies like… Read more »
If you are baking, and have whatsapp, go to the link ,you can enter them as the singles
