There is nothing like receiving Mishloach Manos to your door, and then there’s the thrill of getting it in the mail.
Chinuch Yaldei Hashluchim (CYH) of the Shluchim Office in New York developed a system for sons and daughters of Shluchim to “Give and Get” gifts and food and drink for Purim.
The “Mishloach Manos Mania” had 400 children from around the world – Shanghai to Chestnut Hills from Switzerland to South Africa – send Shaloch Manos to another child on Shlichus with a little note telling them about themselves.
One of the recipients already expressed her childrens’ excitement in an email to the organizers.
“Thanks so much for doing this for the kids. It is so tremendously exciting for them. Even though we live in a big city, we are not in the community and they rarely receive as shaloch manos (I can only imagine for small-town shluchim how much more so this is true).”
Now the all are anticipating for their own Mishloach Manos to come in the mail from a fellow Shliach/Shlucha from across the world to be delivered.
