On this date, Bnot Israel High School proudly presents the musical “Butzina”—a Spanish-language production crafted for the Jewish community, especially for Spanish-speaking women around the world.
About “Butzina”:
The title, “Butzina,” means “lamplighter” in Aramaic, capturing the musical’s core message based on a teaching of the Rebbe. Written and directed by Mrs. Mushkie Nacca, this original story follows Freida, a young woman from Krakow who moves to a boarding school in the Austrian Alps. Facing unexpected challenges, Freida initially struggles with feeling like a victim. But through new friendships and experiences, she ultimately embraces her role as a lamplighter, understanding her purpose and strength.
