Despite the heavy snow that covered the streets of Crown Heights, some 200 girls trudged through the snow and gathered at the Rebbe and Rebbetzin’s home at 1304 President Street.
Visiting from Israel for a weeklong retreat in commemorating the Rebbetzin’s yharzeit of Chof-Beis Shevat, the girls filled the living room/shul for a session of Torah, Tefilla and Tzedakah.
After hearing some inspirational words from their mashpia and trip organizer, Rabbi Aaron Eliezer Tzeitlin, the gathered recited some Tehillim and gave to tzedakah.
The visit ended with a round of heartfelt niggunim.
One girl summed up the visit: “The opportunity we were granted to spent precious time in the Rebbe’s house is of invaluable importance to us. It brings us that much closer to experiencing somewhat of the emotions our parents and teachers tell us of the times they were there.”
The Rebbe’s house was also open for the three tefilos of Chof Beis Shevat.
To Rabbi Krinsky for making this possible.
