Practically anyone who has been to Crown Heights for Tishrei has benefitted from Nachum Markowitz’s Grand Kiddushim and distributions.
The iconic scene of a fleet of trucks carrying a cargo of massive quantities of food and beverage is a staple of Tishrei in Lubavitch and is enjoyed by all.
From the visiting Australian Yeshivah student, the guest from Israel, the Crown Heights real estate tycoon or a Rebbi in a local boy’s school, all can be seen enjoying hot meat, soup, fish, produce, or a refreshing bottle of water alongside a sea of thousands.
What began as a quasi-meal for Tahalucha goers over three decades ago is now an organized month-long project that provides nourishment over the holidays.
Each year the Kiddushim expand, in accordance to the Rebbe’s blessing to Reb Nachum that the project be an everlasting initiative that is constantly growing and increasing in size. This year, just days shy of the centerpiece of his Kidushim and distributions, Markowitz has launched a new site, Kidush.org offering the public the ability to participate in the vast undertaking.
Many have attributed Brochos in the area of Shiduchim, children, and livelihood to their support of this cause. COLlive shared donors Yerachmiel and Rivkah Leah Jacobson’s experience of receiving a blessing for a baby boy two years ago. Since then, many have reported Brochos in their lives and point to the Kidushim and the Rebbe’s blessings in its regard with gratitude.
Visit www.kidush.org to participate.

Can this help a single girl to find her Bashert? I know it’s a great cause, but would it count as a Kiddush for a girl like the Rebbe wanted?
I can’t believe it has been 33 years!
I used to eat at his in-law’s house on President street years ago. The whole Mishpacha cares about Yidin like no else.
Nachum will be zoiche to deliver the Shor Habor and Leviathan one day!
There is just so much food every year for everyone
I’d give more than the 18 I’m giving. I always thought that this peula was one of the most special things out there.
Everyone should give and help this wonderful man for caring for all the guest men woman and children can’t imagine Tishrei without Nahum also thanks to all those who give money and stay behind the scenes we know some of you and may all the blessings continue for you and your families in the most beautiful way
