Rabbi Levi Garelik, a halachic authority in Brooklyn’s Crown Heights, has ended a lecture tour in the Jewish communities of Barcelona, Amsterdam, Manchester and Munich.
The Italian born Chabad rabbi is known for his exceptional talent of transmitting deep Chassidic themes to the spoken language of everyday people.
It was arranged by the European Jewish Study Network (EJSN), a Jewish-content lecture network, and local Chabad Houses.
In the course of a week, Rabbi Garelik commuted between Spain, Holland, England and Germany and was warmly welcomed at each destination by groups of Jews interested in hearing more about Judaism.
Signs in four different languages, produced especially by the EJSN were put up by local Chabad Houses to advertise his arrival.
Rabbi Sholom Liberow, director of EJSN, said that the next lecture tour is scheduled to open in about a week and a half is fully booked.
The coming tour is slated for the 3 Adar – February 17 by Mrs. Sarah Karmeli of New York, an expert on marital relations and family purity. She delivers lectures in English, Italian and Persian.
“The responses from shluchim until now have been overwhelming,” explains Rabbi Liberow.
“This is an outstanding opportunity for any Shliach to offer his members high-level Jewish content to enrich their Jewish experience.”
